Creative Writing Club getting into the Christmas Spirit
Leaving Cert Link Modules students held a Purple Day fundraiser for Cystic Fibrosis Ireland recently. They raised money for the charity by having a balloon blowing challenge and baking chocolate chip cookies.
Huge congratulations to our 4th year students who won an award for Best Functionality for the app they developed, ‘Rattle my Bones’ in CIT yesterday. Fantastic achievement girls, well done!

Well done to our College Awareness Week competition winners Ciara McGann (6th year) and Katelyn O Mahony (3rd year) for coming up with creative jobs of the future relative to their current school subjects.
Sixth years presenting a cheque to Pat O’Regan a volunteer from Marymount Hospice. The money was raised with a cake sale, a raffle and fancy dress day.
4th year art students creating a visual production for mental health awareness, organised by Mr O’Shea, under the tutelage of Ms Buckley Kelliher & Ms Rafferty.

On Tuesday 12th October 2017, TY students attended the Cork Mental Health Foundation seminar at Clayton Hotel Silver Springs along with almost 800 other students from Cork city and county,
Students listened to a number of speakers on the day. This included Aishling Thompson (Cork camogie player) , Gavin Hennigan (adventurer) and Liam Doocey (Youth Development Officer at the Youth Health Service) who addressed both their own personal mental health struggles and those facing teenagers.

Training for the new Student Council Training took place on Wed. 27th September with Pat Murphy. The training proved very valuable and gave the new council food for thought.
What an amazing Opening Show! Standing ovation – fabulous feedback from our audience – ‘That was just magic’ – ‘This should be performed at the Opera House!’ – ‘The girls are a credit to you.’ – And they are indeed…. thank you everyone!
